Great Challenges, for EVERYONE

In Return to Morroc, The Bosses are a fair challenge. They will provide you with a challenge you can tackle at any moment in your journey!

Are you at Lv20 and fighting around Payon Cave? Try to fight Moonlight Flower! Maybe you'll have a good chance of taking her down!

MVPs have plenty of differences, like the rest of the game:

  • MVPs don't have cheap, unpredictable one shots.
  • They usually have complex mechanics on higher ranks, that require smart thinking or avoiding certain situations
  • They are worth a ton of EXP and zeny when killed. not to mention the MVP Prize Box.
  • Most regular MVPs have a respawn random timer of 45min to 1:30h, to avoid camping, they also don't have a tomb to check timer.
  • Some final dungeon maps block teleport, and the MVP may have a fixed spawn location, at the end of a difficult path.
  • You can get the infinite-use CONVEX MIRROR (with a cooldown) by finishing the main story quest. The Mirror is account-bound but can help with Boss hunting.

Rewards and prizes

Besides our well-known 3% drop rate for cards, MVPs also provide cool new rewards.

Every MVP share some specific loot:

  • MVP Prize Box, that contains cool items, the drop rate is always half the MVP's Level (LV60 boss? 30% drop rate)
  • A unique costume, rewarded for the player who wins the MVP, drop rate of 15%
  • A lot of cool stuff.

The MVP Prize Box may contain (all items with the same chance):

  • All kinds of Refine Materials (Except Jewel items)
  • Growth Shadow Coffer (Which itself contains a random mid-tier golden shadow set, with unique bonuses)
  • Yggdrasil Berry (Ultra-rare consumables that fully heal the player)
  • MVP Shard, a rare currency that can be exchanged for cool stuff in Mora Village.

Relics

Tired of MVPs being camped? No more! Some dungeons have a unique drop, the Boss Relic. These items allow you to summon the MVP for another go, even between normal spawns!

While killing enemies in one of these dungeons, there is a very small (0.1%) chance for each enemy to drop the Relic for the current dungeon's boss. While the relic can be dropped by enemies on any floor of the dungeon, the item is only usable on the normal floor for the MVP to spawn, often the last. In addition, only one MVP can be spawned by a relic at a time - attempting to use a relic while a summoned MVP is still alive will waste the use, consuming the Relic.

The normally spawned MVP does not have to be killed in order to summon one with a relic. In fact, summoning one with a relic gives information based on the current state of the normal MVP.

  • If the MVP is alive, it will tell you it's alive and show the location on the mini-map
  • If the MVP is dead, it will tell you how long until it respawns
    • This is similar to the effect of the Convex Mirror

Below is a list of relics and the MVPs they summon. Note that there are no Relics for Field or Distortion MVPs, and not all dungeons have a Relic.
