First Job Change

Upon finishing tutorial you will be either 4/2 base/job level or 6/2 base/job level, based on rates chosen. You should get all basic stats VIT/DEX/INT to 10. then procced on leveling main damaging stat to 30. Don't forget to put points into VIT/INT for max HP/SP and SP regen, and DEX for HIT if you miss alot.

You can go down to Morroc Basement to get early levels for job change. While killing monsters in basement you can get your first normal gear and shadow set.

Level here until you get 10/10[Normal Jobs] or 15/10[Expert Jobs](except mimic he needs 25/10) for first Job Change.

Then procced on changing jobs to:

Normal Jobs:

Thief - The Default Class in PRM. Has variety of skills, from melee/magic/ranged and passive to increase your Resource management or stat increases such as HP/SP/Flee.

Raider - Physical Bruiser Class. Unique job that focuses on using spears, dealing average damage and high survivability.

Trickster - Physical Bruiser leech based class. has inbuilt Leech from using Scythes. Fire Endow/AutoGuard and 1-2-3 combo playstyle.

Jester - Hybrid Physical/Magical class. Uses Unique Decks of cards that gives different effects depending on suit used. High ASPD limit. Burst and Spam Skills. and strong finisher that consumes HP to deal damage.

Ronin - Physical DPS Class. Excells on High Evade and burst damage with combo skills. Way of the Blade buff increases damage dealt with skills, but lost on taking any damage. Expert Jobs:

Vagabond - Physical DPS class. Deals high dps, with low survivability. Has All element Endows with "Seven Winds". Passsives that increase ASPD/ATK and Flee. Frenzy that sets your APSD to 193 with increased ATK, and disables HP regenration.

Judge - Ranged DPS Class. Has burst damage with skills. High Mobility with Vault skill. Seals Management enables/boosts skills. Has access to variety of Revolvers made in Judge HQ

Peacekeeper - Melee/Ranged Class. Combo Style Character that has continious combo gameplay. Damage scaled on dex, and other stats while under crash trinket effect. Trinkets can grant unqiue effects from Stat Scaling/Buffs/Debuffs.

Illusionist - Magic based Summoner class. Can summon Kimi to assist caster in combat. Uses Unqiue Gloves to change effect on Real Magic Attack. Grand Summoning can summon up to 5 monster to fight alongside Illusionist.

Mimic - 4fun Class. Can cast all 150 skills in the game depending on RNG with Abracadabra. Plagiarism can Save skill from other classes that he can use manually.

Getting Started

Its Dangerous to go alone. Take this.

Upon Chaning to your first Job. You will get "Weapon Voucher" that can be acquired from achievements tab, that can be exchanged for starting job weapon at Ornstein NPC located in backrooms on first floor. Choose weapon depending on what build you are going. it won't last for long time. Expert Jobs such as Judge and Peacekeeper receieves unique Accessory that gives +10% exp/ASPD +3/SP +10 until base level 30.

Now you will probably want to get some job levels. You can level in upper levels of Morroc Pyramids, if its too hard. you can always go back to basement until you level your damaging skills.

After you get your basic skills. its time to finally start the journey to level 130. it won't be an easy road. But remember PRM is Marathon, not a sprint.

Effective Exp from monsters counts by +/- 15 level range, but leveling spots will be listed with preferable player level and +5 of monsters level, Leveling spots will depend on your job/gear and stats, if its too hard, you can always level in easier spot or use reset fountain and spend points in stats that you missing: HP/SP/Damage/Cast Time and etc..

After you acquired lvl 100, and changed to final job, now is the time to start exploring "Distortion Dungeons". A unique dungeons ,that offers more items to farm, with slight difficulty increase, depending on distortion of course, it can vary from debuffing/buffing player and monsters while in dungeon, enables free pvp for every player inside, draining full exp on death or just disabling ressurection.

To enter such dungeons player would need "Bifrost Mirror", following the guide will help you find both Bifrost shard, and 4 eyes of the sons of Odin. Each socketed eye allows traveling in time, be it either past, future, or completly new timeline.

I hope you saved alot of zeny for Sage's service.
  • Socketing eyes into the bifrost shard, gives access to distortion dungeon for whole account, you only need to finish bifrost mirror once.
  • Don't rush by socketing all the eyes. get first 2 eyes for 100-120 level Distortions, socket missing eyes once you have spare zeny or need Distortion entry.

It's so over

After level 100, game becomes slightly harder, you will start having issues in certain dungeons, and on certain jobs, but its not a reason to stop.

Now is good time to get more powerful gear, and start refining, slotting cards, looking for costumes = the cooler you look, the more damage you deal, and that's facts.

Refines:

Refining gear to +6 is safe option, since Ores that 1 level higher than needed doesn't downgrade item. you can use basic Oridecon/Elunium for refines from 0 ~ 3. then use Enriched Oridecon/Elunium for safe refines from 3 ~ 6 for important pieces. And use HD for not important stuff.

Get important Manuals such as:

  • Medic Manual X - Grants "Heal" level 10.
  • Agility Manual X - Grants "Increase Agi" level 10.
  • Life Manual - Grants "Ressurection" level 1. good even if you play alone, you could save some orphans in a dire situation.
  • Portal Manual - Grants "Warp Portal" level 2. Could be used for saving important warps such as farming spots.
  • Teleport Manual - Grants "Teleport" level 2. QoL item to skip some unwanted maps.

You still can level up up to level 150, after level 130 exp needed to level up are increased massively, fewer places to level, every death will remove 5% exp which can delete hours of leveling on higher levels.

level 150 or "Hard Cap", in itself is a challenge, after 145 level you won't gain any more stat points.

Grind for your character upgrades, to be the best one on the server? Create new classes to explore New-Midgard again from different perspective, Leave and wait for new content to come, or just sit in Orphanage and talk with other people.
